Woodforest National Bank Retail Documentation Specialist - The Woodlands in The Woodlands, Texas

The Retail Documentation Specialist is responsible for creating, maintaining and updating Branch, Customer Call Center, Branch Connection, and Interactive Teller policy and procedure manuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains electronic documentation of policies and procedures for retail employees, including branches, Customer Care, Interactive Teller, and Branch Connection.

  • Reviews existing materials to ensure content is written clearly and is up to date.

  • Collaborates with subject matter experts to understand needs for procedural development; reviews and analyzes materials to understand documentation needs.

  • Researches regulations specific to operating policies and procedures to ensure compliance in partnership with Corporate Compliance.

  • Actively participates in Retail and Corporate projects to ensure procedure updates are completed based on project requirements.

  • Actively collaborates with Retail Communication Manager to ensure appropriate communication of policy and procedures updates.

  • Performs other job related duties or special projects as assigned.

    Competencies Required

  • Solid technology skills, including proficiency with Microsoft office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, SharePoint, Word, Outlook), and the ability to quickly learn new systems and applications.

  • Exceptional verbal communication, technical writing and presentation skills with an ability to effectively interact with and convey information to people who possess varying levels of understanding on applicable topics.

  • Customer service orientation with effective problem solving abilities and a high level of enthusiasm and creativity.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the retail banking industry including policies, procedures, products, and regulatory compliance.

  • Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.

    Minimum Qualifications/Experience

  • 6 months to 2 years of retail banking or operational support experience in the banking or financial services industry, and/or;

  • 1-3 years instructional design, business documentation or training related experience, or a combination of experience and directly related education.

    Formal Education & Certification

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Full-Time

    Supervisory Responsibility

  • None.

    Travel

  • Up to 10% travel expected.

    Working Conditions

  • Conditions involve lifting no more than fifteen pounds, sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, moving, or standing for extended periods of time while conducting classroom training. May involve occasionally lifting and carrying technology equipment such as laptops and projectors, as well as articles such as files, ledgers, folders, etc.
