La Quinta Inns & Suites Data Services Analyst in Irving, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for maintenance of hotel and company information in the Branded Web Sites, Reservation Services, Global Distribution systems, NetRez, Property Management and reporting systems to increase bookings, increase revenue and improve competitive positioning of La Quinta products. This position is responsible for the creation and maintenance of all property information in the Reservation System. The position is also responsible for quality assurance of work that is outsourced to our vendor.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Rates & Availability Management

Verify and audit rates, account checklists and property level information submitted in property loader workbooks in Reservation Services, NetRez, Global Distribution Systems, and Property Management Systems.

Process Rate Sheets for rate changes submitted by franchise properties and Revenue Management.

Research and resolve discrepancies with appropriate parties in regards to synchronization of systems information, rates and inventory, and any inaccurate loadings.

Provide NetRez support for general questions, password administration and system functionality.

Create and manage room types and room number assignments in property management system for new openings and existing properties.

Maintain and update hotel restrictions and policy exceptions in Reservation Services, NetRez and Property Management Systems

Marketing

Coordinate with Global Distribution System, Marketing and Reservations departments to ensure timely communication and implementation of new accounts, promotions, hotels and rates.

Maintain and update hotel and company information on various Internet sites, including Lanyon Rate Publisher software and GDS gateways as needed.

Create and maintain consortia and marketing promotion rate plans and property participation to support La Quinta national marketing programs.

Sales

Work closely with the Sales staff to ensure effective loading, maintenance and display of negotiated rates for corporate clients.

Complete company loading forms for submission to Pegasus once account accepted. Must include all pertinent information needed to complete building the account so that reservations can be made. Accuracy and timeliness are key.

Create and maintain local, regional and national sales accounts and rate plans in Reservation Services, NetRez and property level systems.

Misc.

Maintain current and accurate tracking of workflow.

Perform additional project tasks as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED required, some college preferred.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

6 months as Reservations Agent or FDSR, or

1 year working with Sabre, Galileo, WorldSpan or Amadeus, or

1 year working in travel agency.

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Microsoft Office Products, and familiarity with branded web site, major hotel Internet booking sites, Travelocity and Expedia.

Must be able to document and process information by manually writing it on paper and/or Internet/ RSC LSP application, etc.

Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Working conditions of the position are a normal office situation.

May work alone or closely with others.

Work is completed sitting at a desk or table with intermittently standing, reaching and stooping.

May be required to do light lifting or carrying.

Capable of working in a fast paced environment and in stressful situations.

Must respond to multiple task interruptions and still provide service to internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner.

Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time. Work is performed while seated at a desk and signed into computer throughout the duration of shift, as much as 80-95% of the time, with the exception of scheduled breaks and/or lunches.

Must be able to hear and understand conversations being conducted on telephone device and respond in a clear speaking voice.

Requires flexibility in hours/days any hours within a 24/7 call center environment including weekends, nights and holiday.

Requires good near or distant vision.
