Job Description

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two years of related experience in user IT Consulting.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment.

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

  • Ability to learn quickly and possess strong technical skills.

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and be service oriented.

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in instructional technology or related field.

  • Instructional technology and design consulting experience.

  • Video experience such as familiarity with commonly used video formats, streaming video, production and editing software on Mac and PCs.

  • Experience with MediaSite or equivalent video platform.

  • Experience providing excellent customer support in Higher Education.

  • Creating technology support documentation is a plus.

  • Experience in customer support operations including call centers, Learning Management Systems, and Higher Education.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities.

  • Knowledge supporting or creating documentation, videos, audio and streaming technologies. Customer service skills.

  • Knowledge and ability to utilize a support/problem tracking system.

Salary:

$38,646.77 - $45,198.40

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for video, audio and lecture capture solutions, including training, researching problems and supporting customers. Provide technical support and guidance for software applications. Participate in the development of standards and procedures for the development and maintenance of printed and web-based software application information for customer use. Assists with conducting surveys of new technologies and the preparation of executive summaries. May assist with the installation/maintenance of software.

  • Serves as a member of a project team. Complete reports and summaries for management and/or users including status reports, problem reports, progress summaries, and system utilization reports.

  • Participate in training and professional development sessions

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
