Hillcrest Back to School Job Fair Customer Care Associate OVERVIEW *Provide professional, friendly customer service in an exciting, fast-paced environment. Communicate with customers via telephone or online chat, assist with customer inquiries, and accommodate any additional customer requests as needed while enjoying a rewarding,challenging work culture. POSITION DESCRIPTION - Communicate with customers through telephone, written online chat/email - Provide information in response to inquiries about products or services - Provide assistance in navigating the website - Offer suggestions for complementary items - Additional tasks and projects as assigned - Starts at $10.00 per hour Qualifications ESSENTIAL SKILLS Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least eighteen years of age Must have high school diploma or equivalent Must pass the pre-employment Background Check Preferred Qualifications: Fluency in Spanish - reading, speaking, and writing Experience within a call center environment Knowledge of insurance terminology and practices Knowledge and understanding of billing invoices/statements Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies: - Knowledge of and familiarity with commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures related to customer service - Pleasant and professional telephone etiquette - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Ability to navigate through multiple software systems and applications while assisting customers on the phone - Ability to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform required tasks - Ability to identify and help implement continuous improvement of processes, skills, and customer service interactions - Take-charge attitude: capable of taking on the challenges that providing excellent customer service can present - Flexible, open-minded, and solution-oriented, with the ability to handle different customer interaction scenarios appropriately - Ability to adapt to a fast-paced call center environment, with strong emphasis on multi-tasking while actively listening to customers - Problem-solving and strong analytical abilities - High level of creativity, energy, and latitude - Excellent judgment and decision-making skills - Strong computer and computer software knowledge, skills, and abilities - Exceptional typing skills - Regular and punctual attendance - High level of professionalism and ability to respond to customer inquiries promptly JOB KEYWORDS: call center, customer care, front desk, customer service, customer support, customer relations, call center representative, customer service, service specialist
