CVS Health Pharmacy Technician I Case Review Unit in San Antonio, Texas

Position Summary:

Caremark has an exciting opportunity for you as a priorauthorization pharmacy technician. As a certified technician, you will take in-coming calls from members,providers, provide professional phone assistance to callers through thecriteria based prior authorization process. As a technician, you will be ableto maintain complete, timely and accurate

documentation of all approvals and denials, and transfersall clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist. As a pharmacy technician in this role youwill possess the ability to deal with a diverse customer base in a friendly andconfident manner (internal and external customers); have the ability to work inteam environment and requires availability to work various shifts; and have theability to learn new operating systems and new communication strategies. As a pharmacy technician for this position you must be flexible, organizedand have excellent communication skills (oral, written, grammar, listening),possess PC skills in Windows-based applications required.

Required Qualifications:

At least 6 months experience in customer service or call center environment

Licensed Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Texas Registration required

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous Pharmacy Technician Experience Preferred


A verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
