Customer Service Representative:

Responsible for servicing customers over the telephone both locally and for remote locations in the region. This would include sales, order entry, negotiation of pricing, master file maintenance, and problem resolution, expediting and product research with vendors and coordination with other departments including field sales. Ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to pursue additional job responsibilities in the sales and operations departments of the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Answering and responding to incoming telephone inquiries from our customers. • Customer orders and credit memorandums entry. • Entry and maintenance of customer contact pricing. • Research of products with vendors, including price and availability. • Research and resolve conflicts related to the order delivery cycle • Perform a variety of other customer service related duties, including but not limited to: o Research and review of customer account balances, invoices, and leases o Assist field sales in developing customer relationships o Interaction with other departments to coordinate deliveries and customer satisfaction o Special projects as assigned (pricing, inventory, sales) o Sales and sales support. • Other duties and projects as assigned. • Demonstrate full knowledge of all order-entry, data research and other computer skills necessary to service customers. • Ensure customer inquiries related to billing problems, cylinder balances, order status, time of delivery, etc., are promptly and courteously handled, providing follow-up as necessary.

• Interfaces with sales, customers, branches and other operating areas to provide timely and accurate communication regarding capabilities, delivery and various other operating requirements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Associate’s degree in marketing or business related field or equivalent work experience. • Minimum of 3 years of call center customer service or inside sales experience. • Experience using an automated order entry/inventory system.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Good organizational and analytical skills. • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, management, customers and vendors. • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to handle conflict and work within a team environment. • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work load. • Microsoft Office.
