Pilot Thomas Logistics Customer Service Representative (Fort Worth, TX) in Fort Worth, Texas

Position Summary

The customer service representative is responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as communicating effectively with team members within the customer service department.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Answer phones; route calls to appropriate department
  • Create orders for incoming orders from customers
  • Keep dispatch spreadsheet updated with all deliveries
  • Reconciles the prior's day paperwork
  • Tracks all deliveries on dispatch spreadsheet that have been received
  • Follow-up with drivers on a daily basis regarding paperwork
  • Turns in completed paperwork to administration department
  • Create sales orders for delivery and route delivery tickets to correct Logistic manager for dispatching
  • Updates and verifies that sales order has correct information (customer, ship to information, truck info (ship via), product, warehouse, pricing, quantity being billed; updates comments to reflect driver
  • Understand customer requirements to make sure we have all information needed to successful send the invoice to customer
  • Special projects as requested
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Typical Minimum Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
  • 2 - 4 years' experience in a customer service or call center role
  • Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
  • Oral Expression - The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
  • Problem Sensitivity - The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem

Environmental Requirements Customer Service Representatives must maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Bending, twisting, squatting, crouching, and kneeling

  • Frequently lifting objects up to 25 LBS

  • Sitting for extended periods of time

  • Operating assigned equipment
