Sprint Captioned Telephone Specialist- Call Center Support in Austin, Texas

Job Summary

The Captioned Telephone Specialist relays telephone conversations between hearing or speech-impaired customers using a captioned telephone. Utilizes ability to listen then repeats exactly what is heard into speech recognition software that transforms the speech to text. Maintains confidentiality of all calls and tolerates stress of emotional dialogues.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to type a minimum of 35 wpm with 85% accuracy
  • Understanding of ASL and deaf culture
  • Good articulation and pleasant speaking voice
  • Voice recognition score of 130 after training
